Cygnus Contemporary Dance Company
The Cygnus Contemporary Dance company is primarily a youth dance company able to perform all disciplines of dance. Each year auditions are held for our two annual performances. Open Auditions for our holiday performance of Santa and His Elves is held this year September 24, 2005 at 11:00am-12:30pm at Cygnus. Performances are December 3 and 4 at 2:00pm.

Open Auditions for our annual spring performance is held January 21, 2006 at the Egg Harbor Township Middle School, auditorium entrance located on Fernwood Avenue: 10:00am-11:30 for Ballet dancers 9 years old and up, and 11:30-1:00 for Ballet Dancers on Pointe. Spring performance dates are June 24, 2006 at 7:30pm and June 25, 2006 at 2:00pm. Guest Artists from the Pennsylvania Ballet, Buffalo Inner City Ballet, support the cast in leading roles.

Commitment to the company throughout the year requires a minimum three ballet per week, jazz and modern dance. The company affords additional performing venues, experiences, additional rehearsals and classes. The youth company has had the pleasure of working numerous times with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra, local Musical Theatre Groups as well as performances in New York.
